Kit consists of 2kg of PART A and 800g of PART B
Total kit volume 2.56 Litres
PART A is a cream liquid and PART B is a amber liquid that have virtually no odour and react to form a strong, tough, flexible polyurethane rubber white in colour. This product is firmer in hardness compared to natural rubber used in vehicle bushes/bump stops, seals and matting etc so can be used in the production of stiffer uprated polyurethane replacement parts commonly known as sports poly bushes. To produce parts in a similar hardness to the original natural rubber use our Shore A65.
The colour of the cured plastic can be changed with the addition of a colour pigment to part A prior to mixing the two components. We have a range of compatible colour pigments here
This product has a mixing ratio of 100:40 by weight.
The working time is approximately 6-7 minutes and the casting can generally be de-moulded in 1-2 hours depending on the temperature, size and especially the thickness of the casting.
Warning!!! It's very important the product itself and the room is at least 20°C when used. Also the reaction generates heat which is necessary for the curing process, if mixing small amounts or spreading the material out in very thin sections the heat will dissipate quickly retarding the cure. In the worst cases it can take several days for the material to become hard. To counter this when casting amounts below 100g or very thin items we recommend preheating the mould to 40-60°C and/or post curing whilst still in the mould for several hours at 40-60°C.
